# $VOLA Overview

**$VOLA is the native token of Vola Network.**

$VOLA is the economic foundation that connects every participant in the ecosystem:

* users pay with it,
* node operators stake it, and
* holders use it to shape the network's future through governance.

Unlike tokens designed primarily for speculation, $VOLA is built around real utility.

Every core function of the network: storing a file, running a node, delegating stake, voting on a proposal, involves $VOLA.

**Its value is tied directly to the demand for decentralized cloud infrastructure.**

### Getting $VOLA (Testnet)

**During the public testnet, $VOLA is available through the Vola Faucet. Test tokens can be loaded onto your account to cover node registration fees, staking requirements, and transaction costs.**

*Testnet tokens have no real value. They exist purely to allow participants to test node setup, delegation, and storage interactions before mainnet launch.*
