# $VOLA Utility

**$VOLA is not a single-purpose token. It powers three distinct functions across the Vola Network, each one essential to how the network operates, grows, and governs itself.**

#### How $VOLA Flows Through the Network

Users Pay $VOLA to store files on the network. Fees are calculated based on file size and storage duration, locked at upload time, and released to storage nodes upon confirmed delivery.

Nodes stake $VOLA to register and activate nodes. Earn $VOLA rewards from transaction fees, storage fees, and staking rewards based on performance.
